Use leverage without getting liquidated. Trade options on Dream to bet whether crypto will go up or down.
Before trading options, you’ll need to add funds to your Buying Power balance.
Begin
Open Global Search.
Search the asset you’d like to trade options on.
On the Asset Detail page, tap the Dream button in the bottom right corner.
Select Options.
Pick a Direction
Decide whether you think BTC will rise or fall.
If you think BTC will go up, choose BTC will go up (Call Option).
If you think BTC will go down, choose BTC will go down (Put Option).
Pick a Price Level
Next, choose the price level BTC needs to exceed by the time your option expires.
Your price level determines whether your option finishes in or out of the money.
When you select a price level on Dream, you are saying that BTC will be above this price by expiration.
Pick a Timeline
Select your expiry. How soon you think BTC will exceed your price level?
You can choose from multiple expiration dates such as today, this week, or a future date.
Shorter timelines carry higher risk but can yield higher rewards, while longer timelines allow BTC more time to move toward your price level.
Select Amount
Enter the amount you want to spend on your option trade.
Buying Power determines how much you can allocate toward options trades, so make sure it’s funded before continuing.
Below your input, you’ll see a breakdown of:
Size — your notional exposure, or the total BTC value your option gives you price exposure to.
Max Loss — the maximum amount you can lose, which is limited to the amount you spend.
Dream Points — the points you’ll earn from this trade (options earn 2× points).
Use the Payout Simulator to visualize your potential returns at expiration. Move the slider to see how your profit changes depending on BTC’s price when your option expires.
Once you’re ready, tap Confirm Trade to lock in your position.

Submit Your Trade
Once you have set your direction, price, and time frame, review the details and tap Submit Your Trade.
You will see a confirmation card showing:
Asset: BTC
Price Level: Your target price level
Expiration: The date your option expires
Size: The total amount of notional exposure your option gives you
Cost: The upfront amount paid for the option
After confirming, your trade becomes active and will appear on the Home Screen.
Managing Your Trade
You can close your option at any time before expiration to take profits or cut losses.
As BTC moves toward your price level, the value of your option changes in real time, allowing you to sell early if conditions are favorable.
Your max loss is limited to what you paid to enter the trade.
